Môle et grossesse concomitante
Multiple pregnancy with complete hydatidiform mole and coexisting normal fetus in a retrospective cohort of 141 patients.
A multiple pregnancy with a complete hydatidiform mole and a coexisting fetus carries a high risk of obstetric complications. In patients who continued their pregnancies, approximately one-third of the newborns were alive by day eight, and about one in four developed gestational trophoblastic neoplasia. Therefore, the risk of malignant transformation appears to be higher than in the case of a single complete mole. Low levels of free beta human chorionic gonadotropin may indicate better early neonatal survival, and this relationship warrants further investigation.
