Introduction

  • Objective : The clinical evaluation and management of gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTD), including surgical and drug treatments for benign, premalignant and malignant tumours.
  • Target population : Women of childbearing age with gestational trophoblastic disease.
  • Principles : Women diagnosed with GTD should be referred to a gynecologist; women diagnosed with gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) should be referred to a gynecologist-oncologist.
