  • Complete, partial or invasive hydatidiform moles
  • Chorangiocarcinoma (1988, <10 cases in the literature)

Without villi (extravillous trophoblast)

  • Placental site nodule/atypical (2006)
  • Placental site trophoblastic tumor
  • Epithelioid trophoblastic tumor
  • Choriocarcinoma in situ or intraplacental
  • Choriocarcinoma

Trophoblast cell types

  • Cytotrophoblast (proliferation and construction)
  • Syncytiotrophoblast (hormonal role)
  • Intermediate trophoblast (docking of structures)
